Description
This is a handmade table clock with crystal rock paints on the dial portion. It is as transparent white as fresh snow and sparkles depending on the light environment.
The body of each Hanamokko table clock is hand carved on a lathe using a traditional technique called rokurobiki in Yamanaka, Kaga, Ishikawa. Yamanaka has a more than 400-year history as a lacquerware production center. The wood is Zelkova, which has a beautiful grain and smooth texture. Please select one of the three available colors from the Wood Color option: Plain, Brown, or Black.
The base of the dial is made of Japanese paper made by Mayumi Ishikawa, a Japanese paper maker in Futamata-cho, Kanazawa. The paper is then coated with layers of iwa-enogu, mineral pigments made from crushed natural stones. The index is made of gold leaf produced in Kanazawa by traditional methods registered with UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.

- The dials made of mineral pigments are similar to those of paintings. Please be careful not to touch it directly.
- Avoid exposing the dials to sunlight or high humidity. It may become deformed, discolored, or moldy.
- If you are concerned about dust or other dirt, wipe off the wooden part with a soft cloth or paper. For the dial part, please use a soft brush with a soft bristle tip or a blower to clean camera lenses, etc."
