Description
By layering ultra-thin Japanese paper over platinum foil, the platinum shines delicately through the gaps between the fibers of the Japanese paper. The platinum shines softly depending on the angle of the light, and the ASANOHA pattern emerge. ASANOHA pattern is a traditional pattern that has been used since the Heian period (794-1185).
The body of each Hanamokko table clock is hand carved on a lathe using a traditional technique called rokurobiki in Yamanaka, Kaga, Ishikawa.
Yamanaka has a more than 400-year history as a lacquerware production center. The wood is Zelkova, which has a beautiful grain and smooth texture. Please select one of the three available colors from the Wood Color option: Plain, Brown, or Black
